40 years down!

On Saturday we celebrated 40 years of marriage! (for Andrew's Mum and Dad).
We enjoyed time with family and friends.

The Happy Couple.

Daniel spent most of the evening playing darts or eating...

...whilst Charlotte enjoyed playing the little lady...

...and cousin Joel running!

I think Cass and Mark had fun!?!

Geocaching success!

We have attempted to go geocaching* for a few weeks now but been unsucessful in finding them and the weather not co-operating.

However yesterday was the sunniest day we've seen in a while
and
we found four.

The 1st a bolt located in a gatepost.

2nd a tiny cache hidden behind a sign

3rd box stuck to railing on a bridge

4th and final a key safe box stuck to gate post.

We had a great afternoon enjoying the local countryside and getting some exercise at the same time.

* for those not in the know Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online.

Nativity v1.0

Daniel took part in the nativity at school. He was a traveler, no not a shepherd or a wise man, but a traveler!?!?

O Christmas Tree!

We wanted to be able to cut our own tree this year but we failed in finding a farm. However we did visit our local garden centre and decided instead of struggling it in to the car we would walk over.

Charlotte did a great job of pulling it home, but of course to keep the peace we had to let Daniel have a go.

I think he regretted asking, he didn't find it much fun!

Camping Trip

I recently visited my sister and family in Scotland and Andrew and the kids stayed home. He had promised them they could go camping, they didn't seem to mind that they were only going as far as the dining room!
