Baby turns 8!

NB. Just found this in the draft folder. Oh well a little out of date.

Our little girl turned 8 on Tuesday (11/9/2010), where has the time gone?

She started the day by opening presents from family, including a big girl bike!

Then rounded it off by having 2 school friends round for tea. I never realised three girls could make so much noise!!!

Fire and fireworks

Some friends from college invited us over to theirs for fireworks last weekend. Little did we know what was awaiting us.

An amazing bonfire right in their back garden. Apparently its a family tradition.

Daniel concentrating on getting his circle just right!

Charlotte concentrating on making sure she doesn't get too close!!!

Robin Hood's Bay

We visited friends near York over half term and enjoyed a great couple of days, catching up and relaxing. We took a trip to Robin Hood's Bay and had great fun with Oochie the dog. (Apologies Linda, wasn't sure of spelling!)

Daniel staking his claim!

Not sure whose walking who!!!

Guess we may be having to get a dog soon!

This was before Oochie managed to break loose!!!

Dino's

Half term is upon us so we went to Grandma and Gramps.
We decided to visit the town museum as they had
a special exhibition on dinosaurs.

Interesting smile! He did enjoy it though!

Not so sure about Charlotte though!

However she did manage to model for us!!!

We also saw the old school exhibition, "school in the old days,
like Mummy and Daddy used to go to."

Ears and friends!

Last week we had to travel back down to Luton for hearing tests for the both the kids.
Daniel wasn't quite so convinced by having to do this.
Although you wouldn't think it looking at the photo!!!

We finished the day with friends and a great dinner. Thanks to the Martins!

(NB. Prayers appreciated for both Charlotte and Daniel as hearing still not at good level)

Trees

Its been a while so here's what we've been up to.

A few weeks ago we went back to the kids favourite park, again! But we persuaded them to have a walk around before hitting the swings and climbing frames.

This they obliged and we had a very civilised walk.

I think the oversized stick may have assisted with Daniel's co-operation!

One of the smaller trees in the park!

Life made easier!?!

We purchased a new gadget the other day in an effort to speed up our cycle rides

He had great fun and even managed to help Daddy with the pedaling

Growing Up

Charlotte has finally lost another tooth, at the grand old age of 7 3/4!

Fizzy Jelly

The kids have discovered a new treat Fizzy Jelly.
So in an effort to keep Daniel out of mischief whilst Charlotte was at school we made some.

Daniel insisted on wearing his apron that Grandma bought him

As you can tell he had lots of fun!

(For those who don't know, you swap the second lot of water for lemonade)

Our Grandma love us

Grandma came to visit this weekend and decide to spoil us
with a yummy chocolate cake!

Superhero

Daniel arrived at the dinner table, dressed like this a couple of nights ago!?!?

School Days 2nd round

After 2 trial sessions, Daniel finally started full-time
(albeit 2 1/2 hours) today.

We finally got a good photo after many attempts.

Country Life!

We took a trip to the countryside for a spot of camping and cycling. It was a great weekend with friends John, Pip, Joel and Sam.

Daniel loved being able to go on his new bike.

Looking cute for a change!!!

Evidence of what flavour ice cream Daniel enjoyed!

Time for a photo stop, they were on their way to cycling 3 miles!

Went to watch the balloon go up. After being very patient, we discovered it had just come down!!!

Morning wake up, no rain for 3 whole days!

Charlotte entertaining herself, waiting for the boys to wake up.

Our tent, on its 2nd outing, hopefully not its last.

Enjoying one last picture, before heading home. A great weekend, had by all.

Fun at the Seaside

We visited Rocyn and Sarah, down in Kent, last week.
Catching up and having fun with great friends.

We went to the beach to spot Rocyn coming in from Dover on his boat.

Charlotte braved a paddle while we waited.

The boat finally arrived!!!

Daniel was pleased to get to sit on the boat.

We also got chance to paddle down the river.

Daniel's new friend 'Marty' (known to others as Martin!!!)
