Belgium

 We spent part of our summer holidays on the Belgian coast, De Panne. 

It has an amazing beach and the weather was surprisingly warm.

 Our 1st evening was warm enough to stroll along the promenade.

Most days were spent relaxing on the beach, not so much for Andrew who had to build the obligatory vehicle. Think this one was a bus!

We decided to treat the kids to the local theme park 'Plopsaland"!!!! We believe is named after a local tv show about a gnome????

Having had 5 glorious days our time ended with a downpour, 

but we were on holiday so you still go out!

And finished out time off with traditional belgian crepes, yummy!

Stole: The End

As of midnight last night, the stole is finished. Thrilled its finished and more importantly Andrew is thrilled with the results. Now just to fix the cassock and add new buttons! Oh and move house!!!

New Home, old and new friends

We spent some of the half term down at the new house. We were meant to be camping but decided better of it, having checked the weather report. The motto for the week was 'Glad we're not camping!'
The friends came to us instead and did an amazing job helping to clear some serious weeds and prep the rooms for painting.
The iris are from the garden we brought home to enjoy, rather that go back next week and find them all dead.

 
We also got to make new friends next door. They have 2 children, daughter aged 8, in the same year as Charlotte and a son aged 6 in the same year as Daniel. God is good. All I wanted for the kids was to have friends nearby that went to the same school.
They are now very excited to get to know them more and hopefully look forward to starting their new school.

Stole Chapter 2

Stayed in house yesterday and managed to complete trial runs. I am pleased with the results, just have to repeat it all again now. This time for real!!!!!!!

Fudge

Nope not the sweet tasty kind, but the school dog. He came to stay the weekend. And for those of you without children this means the kids get to have fun and the parents have homework, writing what your little darling did with fudge. However tech moves on and we had to upload journal to school website!

Stole!

Amongst other things I have to do in the next 4 weeks is make Andrew's stole for his ordination. I have decided I must be crazy. However today I have completed stage 1, attaching lining fabric to stiffener. Now to get off the computer and try and embroider the design, not the stage I am looking forward to!!!

Happy Day!

Just got the news we've been waiting for since February. Charlotte and Daniel have school places for the school we wanted! Thrilled and now alot more chilled out than I was this morning. God is good, answered prayer!!!
